I’m Jodie, and every wedding cake I make is baked fresh to order in my bakery in Kirkstall. I’ve spent over 25 years in catering and hospitality and have been trading as Jodie Bakes since 2020, so I know how much the details matter on the day.

Whether you’re dreaming of a tiered cake with vintage piping, a textured cake with fresh flowers, or a sweet grazing table that keeps your guests happy all evening, I’d love to help. Bespoke wedding cake styles and flavours

Every wedding cake is designed around you, your colours and your venue. You’ll see a lot of buttercream piping in my photos, from vintage-style piping and ruffled frills to textured finishes, along with fresh and sugar flowers, pressed flowers and greenery. Or just tell me your ideas and I’ll design it for you. Wedding cakes can be up to 3 tiers.

Flavours: vanilla with strawberry jam, chocolate with chocolate ganache, lemon with lemon curd, coffee with vanilla cream, and lemon & raspberry with raspberry jam.

Want to try before you decide? My wedding tasting box is £40, with a mix of cake and fillings to try. Send me any inspiration photos you love. I’ll use them as a starting point, but every cake is handmade, so yours will be your own version rather than an exact copy.

Small and micro wedding cakes

Having an intimate wedding or a micro wedding? Any size of cake can be considered, and a smaller cake can look just as special. My Lotus Biscoff Dreamy Cake – Two Tier (£160, serves approx 30–40, vanilla or chocolate Biscoff) is a lovely option for a smaller celebration – see the Lotus Biscoff Dreamy Cake.

For anything else, just tell me your numbers and I’ll suggest a size – price on application.

Cupcake wedding cakes and sweet grazing tables

Not everyone wants a traditional tiered cake. I make cupcakes too, so a cupcake wedding cake or a dessert table is a fun alternative – price on application.

Vegan and gluten-free wedding cakes in Leeds

Please ask for vegan options by email, and gluten-free options are available by email enquiry too – just ask before you book. You can see my vegan bakes.

Allergens: I use all 14 major allergens in my bakery, including gluten, nuts and peanuts, so I can’t guarantee any bake is free from traces. Please tell me about any allergies before you order.

How much wedding cake do I need?

Every wedding cake is made to order, so tell me how many guests you’re expecting and I’ll work out the right size with you.

How to order your wedding cake

Email me at hello@jodiebakes.co.uk with your wedding date, venue, number of guests, the style you like (inspiration photos are great) and any allergies or dietary needs. I’ll check my diary, then send you a quote.

Payment: for wedding cakes, payment in full is due 12 weeks before your wedding, where applicable. Bank details are sent by email, and your date is confirmed once payment is received.

Lead time: ideally book at least 4 weeks ahead, but I always try to help everyone, so do ask even if your date is sooner. Wedding dates get booked up, so it’s best to get in touch early.

Collection and delivery

Cakes are collected from my bakery at Unit I, Cardigan Workspace, Lennox Road, Leeds LS4 2BL. Collection is Tuesday to Friday, and Saturday, Sunday or Monday by appointment. I’m open Monday to Friday, 10am–4pm, Saturdays by appointment, and I’m closed on Sundays.

Delivery and set-up at your venue is possible. Delivery around Leeds is from £6, and I’ll confirm the cost for your venue by email. Wedding cakes can’t be posted.

How far in advance should I book my wedding cake?
